AI for Search and Rescue: Probabilistic Reasoning

Undergraduate research on probabilistic models for narrowing search areas in wilderness search and rescue, published through Cal Poly's Summer Undergraduate Research Program.

Probabilistic ReasoningResearch

Co-authored with Emi Dinh and Sydney Lynch, advised by Professor Franz Kurfess in Cal Poly's Computer Science department. The project looks at how probabilistic reasoning can help SAR teams prioritize where to search first when a search area is large and resources are limited, instead of relying purely on intuition or uniform grid searches.
